Easter Sunday

It's Monday - a new week begins today! We had such a good weekend and I believe that it will continue throughout this week as well! Saturday Michael and Elizabeth spent most of the day with me, which I always love! Addy was with J having lots of fun at the Children's Museum! We didn't do much, but it was still a nice day.

When Jody came in Saturday evening, he and Chance had to go to Jody's parents to do a little something (can't remember what) so I had them drop me off at Wal-Mart to do a little shopping and then they came and picked me up when they finished. They finished well before I did so at first, they just kind of hung around me in the store, but quickly tiring of that they decided to wait in the truck! Thank goodness! When either of them goes grocery shopping with me they are either throwing things in the grocery cart that are not on my list or they are asking me over and over, "Are you about through here?" It's a much more relaxing trip for me when I go alone!

Sunday Jody, Chance and I met Michael, Elizabeth and Addy at LifeChurch for services. This is the first time Jody has gone with me in a very long time! Elizabeth called him Saturday evening to extend a special invitation to attend and evidently it worked! It was nice to go to worship together as a family!

Nick and Candace were having company all weekend - Nick's family, so they stayed home for Easter. This is the first year since we've had grandchildren that the grandkids have not come to our house for Easter. We've always had them over for lunch and an Easter egg hunt. I think that's one of the hardest things about your children growing up and marrying - they have to be shared with the other family!

After church Jody, Chance and I went to eat at Pancho's. Definitely not the place to eat when you are trying to make healthy choices! Jody chose where we were eating so that's where we ended up! I didn't do too badly, but then skipped meals the rest of the day! (I know, not smart!) I go back to the doctor on Tuesday to have my blood pressure and weight checked. I'm anxious to see how both have been affected by the changes I've made this week.

Addy was excited about her Easter basket filled by the Easter bunny yesterday and had to show us everything she received that morning! She was so cute all dressed for Easter and I got a couple of pics after church.



The worship service yesterday was great and I enjoyed it tremendously! I love having a "boost" each week by attending worship! It sets the tone for my whole week!
I'm on my way today to have my drug screen and TB test for my new job, so just wanted to update quickly before I go! I'm getting excited about starting this new part of my life!
